Students from the Manor Road, Southern Personalised Education Centre in Bletchley have been attending a course run by The Seeds of Change, who specialise in personal development and life skills through interaction with horses. On Monday the 5th July members of each cadet service from all over the country made their way down to London to participate in one of the most prestigious events being held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of cadet organisations, which involved a parade to Buckingham Palace, Red Arrow display and a Royal Garden Party. The Milton Keynes Community Foundation has backed a new music project for young people in Bletchley. The Foundation's grant supports this ongoing pilot project, which has been developed by a group of young people in the area to tackle problems they are facing between rival groups.

Charities and organisations in Milton Keynes are being urged to apply for a share of a new community bursary, launched on Monday 28th June, by a leading local housebuilder.

Country & Metropolitan Homes has committed £1,500 to the bursary, which will be distributed to worthy causes throughout the area over the coming months. Community Bursary

People of the UK were being encouraged to find out their pulse rate during the Know Your Pulse Week on 7th - 13th June. Recognising how important the initiative was, Local MP, Iain Stewart, joined the crowds to have his pulse taken.
