Volunteers GrapevineVolunteer Update - MayPractical work:April saw our practical team working on the cities ponds. On the 10th Dave, Ted, Alan, and Anne helped rebuild the sluice and dams on the old engine pond at Bancroft. Then on the 12 and 13th John, Ted, James, Kerry, and David helped with the planting of the restored ponds at linford brick kilns and linford manor. The 29th of april also saw a team of 25 from Kpmg Accountants working with us on the ongoing formative pruning in Hazely wood. Then on the 30th Vince, Brian, Dave, Dan, Ted, Alan, and Danny, attened a charcoal burning course at Rawhaw wood in the Rockingham forest. Coming up in May Tuesday 24th: Wildflower seeding to restore the meadow near Willen church. 10..30 - 13.00 meet at the end of Newport Road Willen village. Sunday 29th: Fence removal at Stony Stratford Nature Reserve 10.30 - 15.30 meet in the site car park off Queen Eleanor street. |
